諸説ございますが、その歴史は非常に古く、奈良時代まで遡ると言われています。
最近では、世界中で人気が高まり、海外でFuroshikiとして通じるようになってきました。
昔も今も働く布ですが、風呂敷はテキスタイルとしても見事だと思います。
お部屋に飾っても良いですし、リメイク用の材料としても良いですね。
