1960〜70年代頃のジャパンヴィンテージ唐草模様風呂敷になります。
奈良時代に日本へ渡来した文様の一つ、唐草(からくさ)。
風呂敷や獅子舞の被り物、漫画やコントの泥棒が使う小道具としての印象もあり、数ある和の文様の中でも日本人に馴染み深いテキスタイルデザインだと思います。
この唐草模様は「蔓草」がモチーフになっており、蔓草の生命力の強さから吉祥文様として使われる事も多い図柄でもあります。
ハードな日焼けによる色落ちは、素晴らしい雰囲気だと思います。
おそらく物を包む風呂敷以外の用途にも使われていたと思われ、この雰囲気の良さはハードワークの賜物ですね。
